【About the leather - Tochigi Leather Vegetable-Tanned Leather】

This is pit-tanned vegetable-tanned leather that fully showcases the natural texture of the leather.

Pit tanning is a traditional method of slowly tanning leather using vegetable tannins.

The hides are soaked in "pits" like water tanks and carefully finished over several weeks to months.

Although it is a time-consuming process, the leather becomes durable and resilient, and its character deepens with use.

It is, so to speak, a type of leather that grows slowly over time.

Since the surface finish is simple, it does not hide natural veins, wrinkles and other marks that are inherent to leather, but the more you use it, the more you can feel the goodness of the leather.
