This ink is made to be used with fountain pens, glass pens, dip pens, calligraphy pens, brushes... etc. It is suitable for writing, drawing and painting.

Its lovely color is a shade of a dark reddish brown, like the tapioca pearls, and then, when diluted, looks like milk tea. There isn't a more perfect ink color for Bubble Tea lovers!

Lennon Tool Bar (藍濃道具屋), an ink producer company, was founded in Tamsui, Taiwan in 2014. Bubble Tea (珍珠奶茶) was also born in Taiwan. It quickly spread throughout the island and became a very popular drink. In the latest years it became a beloved drink in Japan and many other places around the whole world.

Their love for Bubble Tea made them to produce this beautiful ink for the Stationery Fest that Yoseka organized the Summer of 2024. And, after I tried the ink and fell in love with it, we think it is the perfect match for our lovely Bubble Tea Glass Pen. Can you imagine how fun it will be to use both of them together?

We hope that Lennon Tool Bar's ink will be loved by people all over the world.

The history of Lennon Tool Bar company:

In Taiwan, the last indigo dyeing specialists were wiped out in 1942. Indigo is a dyeing pigment, one of the oldest and most iconic natural dyes in human history, prized for its deep, rich blue hue. Traditionally, it was derived from plants, with the Indigofera species being the most well-known source. In Japan, however, the indigo dyeing craft (aizome) often relied on the Persicaria tinctoria plant, also called Japanese indigo.

The dyeing process is an art in itself, involving fermentation to extract the pigment, which is then used to create beautiful and vibrant textiles. Indigo is unique because of its oxidation process: the dye initially appears greenish-yellow when a fabric is dipped into the vat, but as it is exposed to air, it transforms into the signature blue color.

In 1992, the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Center brought the once-extinct "indigo dyeing" back into the spotlight. They invited indigo dyeing craftsmen from Tokushima, Japan, to Taiwan to learn traditional Japanese indigo dyeing techniques and revive Taiwan's indigo dyeing culture.

Lennon Tool Bar (藍濃道具屋) was established in Tamsui, Taiwan in 2014. In the early stages, the company focused on producing indigo-dyed products and spreading awareness of indigo dyeing.

Lennon Tool Bar (藍濃道具屋) has produced a series of inks based on indigo blue to let more people know the colors of indigo dyeing. It is our hope that by making indigo dyed colors available for use in everyday life as ink, more people will come to remember the profound beauty of indigo dyed colors.

Besides indigo inks, they started to produce a wide range of very meaningful color inks, becoming one of the most popular ink brands in Taiwan and overseas.

We feel so proud and grateful for being able to carry Lennon ToolBar inks in our shop.
