Pocket glass charms to make you smile

Pocket glass charms to make you smile

Who doesn't fall in love with tiny little things? Living in Japan for so long, I have a big collection of teeny-tiny objects that make me smile when I see them. They are small trinkets made with only one purpose - to bring you a bit of happiness and sweetness in the rush of the daily life.

Some of these little things that have caught my heart from long time ago were these pocket glass charms. They’re made of glass and you are supposed to carry them in your wallet, pen case, or pouch. There are many different designs available, but the first one I got was a tiny "Jizo".

"Jizo" are buddhist statues that represent protection and guidance for the souls of babies that do not make it to this world. These statues are also known to safeguard travelers in their journeys.

The tiny glass Jizo that I bought many years ago has been inside the pocket of my Traveler's Notebook. It has accompanied me for many years to so many places. Every time I see it, it makes me smile. It makes me feel that there’s still kindness in this world. I can’t help wondering how many places we’ve already been to together, and how many more to come.

When Wanderlust started to expand last year carrying other products besides TSL, these tiny glass charms were one of the first things I wanted to offer. I’ve always wanted to share with you the happiness they’ve given me. Finally, I am able to do it.

I am proud to introduce these tiny glass charms made by a Japanese glass company in Osaka. They are handmade in several colors, and each of them have a piece of gold leaf meant to bring good fortune. But even if you do not believe in luck, these charms will capture your heart with their adorable designs. They are guaranteed to make you smile every time you see them.
