"Fruit or Pomegranate" is a pattern that William Morris design in 1865 - 1866 to be used as a wallpaper. The design was block printed with a very elegant combination of colors. The fresh and playful way the pomegranates look made this design one of his most popular.
"Little Chintz" features pomegranates and other Indian inspired motifs. This fabric was originally an indigo resist-dyed cotton made at the dyeworks of Thomas Wardle, Morris’ collaborator in understanding Indian indigo dyeing techniques. Easy to match and combine with many colors and furniture styles, this design was very popular too, giving a happy touch to the room where it was used.
